Dibutyl phthalate: mainly used as a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, which can make products have good flexibility. Due to its relatively low cost and good processability, it is widely used in China, almost equivalent to DOP. However, its volatility and water extractability are higher than DOP, resulting in poor durability of the product, and its use should be gradually restricted. This product is an excellent plasticizer of nitrocellulose, with strong gel ability. Used for nitrocellulose coatings, it has excellent softening effect, solubility, decomposition, adhesion, and the softness and stability of the paint film are also good.. This product can also be used as a plasticizer for polyvinyl acetate, alkyd resin, ethyl cellulose, natural and synthetic rubber, as well as organic glass.
