Dioctyl terephthalate
Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C24H38O4. It is a transparent oily liquid that is insoluble in water but soluble in general organic solvents. Dioctyl terephthalate is a high-performance main plasticizer used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. Compared with commonly used diisooctyl phthalate (DOP), it has the advantages of heat resistance, cold resistance, low volatility, anti extraction, good flexibility, and electrical insulation performance. It exhibits excellent durability, soap water resistance, and low softness in products.
